Every genetic profile, a name.

Identicore ADN is Panther Forensic's forensic genetic identification software. It performs 1:1, 1:N and N:N matching, federated searches across sites, kinship with extended pedigrees, familial search and DVI, with Likelihood Ratios and reproducible reports, installed on-premise.

Modules

  1. 1:1, 1:N and N:N matching

One profile against another, one profile against the whole database, or the whole database against itself, with vector search in seconds.

  2. Federated searches

Queries across sites or states without centralizing data; each database stays on its own infrastructure.

  3. Kinship and extended pedigrees

Visual editor for complex families of any topology, with combined Likelihood Ratio calculation.

  4. Familial search

Finds probable relatives when there is no direct match.

  5. DVI

Victim identification in mass-casualty events, with joint assignment of multiple missing persons and bodies.

  6. Y and X chromosomes

Y-STR and X-STR haplotypes by counting against a reference database, Discrete Laplace for Y-STR, and paternal and maternal line comparison.

  7. Local artificial intelligence assistant

Explains results and guides operation with a model that runs on the institution's servers, without sending data to the cloud.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Likelihood Ratio in genetic identification?

It is a ratio that compares how likely the observed genetic profiles are if the proposed relationship exists versus if it does not. Identicore ADN calculates it for each hypothesis and translates it into a verbal scale the laboratory chooses among ISFG, ICMP, ENFSI or a custom scale.

Does Identicore ADN need an internet connection?

No. It is installed on the institution's servers and operates without sending genetic profiles or case data to external services.

What types of searches does it perform?

Direct 1:1 matches, 1:N searches of one profile against the whole database, N:N cross-matching of the whole database, federated searches across sites, kinship analysis with extended pedigrees, familial search when there is no direct match, and disaster victim identification (DVI).

Does it analyze Y and X chromosomes?

Yes. Besides autosomal STRs, it works with Y-STR and X-STR haplotypes to compare paternal and maternal lines, with count-based frequencies on a reference database the laboratory can extend with its own.

Can populations and kits be configured?

Yes. The laboratory loads and versions its population frequency tables, chooses the default population and manages its own STR kit catalog without reprogramming the system.

How does it use artificial intelligence?

It includes an assistant that explains results and guides operation. It runs on a model installed on the institution's infrastructure, without sending data to the cloud; external connectors are optional and disabled by default.

Can it connect several sites or states?

Yes. Its federated architecture lets several nodes query each other while each database stays on its own infrastructure.

How does it integrate with the laboratory?

With VerumLims, the genetic profile reaches Identicore ADN in one click, with no re-entry and the case already linked. Both systems communicate through an authenticated interface and are licensed separately.
